Illawarra Trigger Point Therapy Centre has been serving the Illawarra for over 20 years. It is the only centre in the Illawarra that specialises in the treatment of Myofascial Trigger Points. It is also one of the very first clinics to introduce Trigger Point Dry Needling to the Illawarra. It’s founding therapist and owner/manager Tyraus Farrelly, has extensive experience and knowledge in the treatment and rehabilitation of both occupational and sports injuries. His experience in the sports field has seen him treat everyone from the weekend warrior to elite level world class athletes. He also has a wealth of experience as an athlete, representing NSW and Australia at Australian and World Championships. He was the Head Massage Therapist for the Illawarra Steelers & the St George Illawarra Dragons over a 4 year period, and was the head consultant Therapist for the Australian National Martial Arts Team for the World Karate Championships. He has conducted and lectured post graduate workshops privately and for the Illawarra Steelers and wrote and lectured workshops on soft tissue techniques for pain relief within a pain management program. He has worked with many Physiotherapists, Musculoskeletal Specialists, Chiropractors, Exercise Scientists and Sports Physicians within a rehabilitation environment and within an elite sports environment.
